Food Industry Watch was created as a place to thoughtfully explore these conversations.

This section covers topics ranging from fake and ultra-processed foods, industrial farming, ingredient transparency, and culinary market trends, to broader concerns involving environmental pollution, chemical exposure, public health policies, pharmaceutical influence, emerging technologies, and the growing debate surrounding traditional versus modern approaches to wellness.

The purpose of this section is not fearmongering or sensationalism, but rather to encourage awareness, curiosity, critical thinking, and open discussion in a rapidly changing world.

As a chef, I believe that food is deeply connected to overall well-being — but true health is influenced by far more than diet alone. The quality of our environment, the integrity of our food systems, and the choices we make every day all play an important role.
