About Comfort Keto™

Comfort Keto™ was founded in 2015 by Chef Janine Lechuga and her husband, Dennis Aytekin, with a simple belief:

Improving your health should never require giving up your enjoyment of food.

What began as a nutrition education project grew into something much larger. Over the years, Comfort Keto™ has helped hundreds of individuals discover a more satisfying approach to eating through education, practical guidance, and chef-crafted meals.

Today, Comfort Keto™ continues that mission by making healthy living easier, more enjoyable, and more sustainable through thoughtfully prepared meals, recipes, and resources designed for real life.

Why Comfort Keto Exists

People sometimes ask me why I started Comfort Keto.

The answer is different today than it would have been over a decade ago.

 

Of course, health played a role.

But the story actually began long before Comfort Keto existed.

More than a decade ago, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer.

Like many people facing a serious health challenge, I found myself searching for answers beyond the conventional conversations taking place around me.

During that difficult period, a friend shared his own experience with cancer and introduced me to something I had never seriously considered before: the ketogenic lifestyle. He also handed me a book by Dr. Sandra Cabot.

At the time, I had no idea that simple gesture would alter the course of my life.

As I read, an entirely new world began to open before me. I found myself exploring subjects that had received little attention during my traditional culinary training: blood sugar regulation, insulin, inflammation, metabolism, and the powerful relationship between food and health.

What began as curiosity quickly became a personal mission. The ketogenic lifestyle became one of the most effective and natural tools I found for supporting my health and recovery. Just as importantly, it challenged me as a chef.

I had spent years mastering traditional cooking techniques. Suddenly I faced a completely different question:

Could food still be deeply comforting, satisfying, and beautiful while following an entirely different nutritional philosophy?

That question led me down a path of experimentation, study, and recipe development that continues to this day.

 

What began as a personal journey eventually became Comfort Keto™.

Today, Comfort Keto™ operates under Býli Provisions™, LLC, with Comfort Keto™ serving as its primary consumer-facing brand.

While the company has evolved significantly since its founding, its mission remains unchanged: helping people enjoy delicious, chef-crafted food while pursuing their personal health and wellness goals.

Chef Janine Lechuga is the co-founder, Executive Chef, and culinary visionary behind Comfort Keto™.

Drawing upon a background in food brokerage, formal culinary training, and years of experience developing ketogenic recipes and meal programs, Chef Janine has dedicated her career to creating food that is both deeply satisfying and thoughtfully nourishing.

As creator of Comfort Keto's signature dishes, prepared meals, seasonal menus, and educational resources, she combines classical culinary techniques with a practical understanding of how food influences everyday well-being.

 

Her philosophy is simple:

Healthy food should never feel like a sacrifice.

Today, Chef Janine continues to develop flavorful, chef-crafted meals that help customers enjoy a sustainable approach to eating without giving up the comfort, variety, and enjoyment they love.

Dennis O. Aytekin

Dennis O. Aytekin is the co-founder of Comfort Keto™ and oversees logistics, strategic planning, and business development.

A retired engineering executive with decades of international business experience, Dennis brings a unique combination of operational discipline, leadership, and problem-solving expertise to the company. His professional background has helped shape the systems, processes, and standards that support Comfort Keto's commitment to quality and customer service.

Originally embracing the ketogenic lifestyle in support of his wife, Chef Janine, Dennis soon became a passionate advocate for the practical benefits of healthy living and sustainable nutrition.

Today, he helps guide the continued growth of Comfort Keto™ and Býli Provisions™, ensuring that the company's values of quality, consistency, and customer care remain at the center of everything it does.
